About AFSE Model Congress

Model Congress gives students a chance to engage in a role-playing simulation of the United States Congress. Model Congress provides students with a chance to debate a variety of relevant topics. Delegates write bills and debate many of the issues which are nationally pertinent today. Most of all, students are able to express their own views and opinions on what they think are the most important issues facing the country, and hear what their peers have to say about them.

Model Congress is a great place to train and develop public speaking skills. You can meet many new people who both share and, more importantly, disagree with your political views. Schools travel all across the country and world to participate in prestigious conferences hosted by many Ivy League schools.

Model Congress also gives students the opportunity to visit and see many universities which choose to run these conferences and often can act as a preliminary college visit. Your chairs (the people who run the conference) are also college students from that university who can give great advice about the college life on campus as it really is.

Ultimately, Model Congress is an environment which allows Students to learn about politics while having loads of fun with the AFSE Model Congress team and meet people from all over the country. If have any questions just ask our Founder, Chairman & President Alexander J Satin in school, or email us on our school email.
